Setup
Instructions for Outlook
Express,
Outlook 97 and
Outlook 2000
Information you'll need:
• Your Jobe username and password
• The correct access
number for your area
Outlook
Express
1. Double-click the
Outlook Express icon on your desktop

2. Select Tools and then click
Accounts...

3. Click the Add button and then
choose Mail...

4. Type your name as you want it to appear on your
email messages.
Click Next

5. Choose I already have an e-mail address that
I'd like to use and then type your Jobe email address
(your username followed by @jobe.net). Next

6. Select POP3 from the drop down menu, and
then enter mail.jobe.net for
both the Incoming and Outgoing
mail servers. Next

7. Now type your username and password in the respective
boxes. Next

8. Now click Finish. You're done.

Outlook
97
1. Once you open Outlook 97, go to the Tools
menu and select Services.
2. If Internet Mail is listed go to Step 4.
Otherwise, click on the Add button.
3. Click on Internet Mail, then click OK.
4. The properties window should now appear, if not
click on Internet Mail and click Properties.
Enter the name you want to appear on your email messages
in the Full Name box. Next, enter your email address in the
corresponding box.
Now, in the Internet Mail Server box type mail.jobe.net.
Type your username
in the box labeled Account Name, and then type your
password in the box
below. Click the Advanced Options button and enter
mail.jobe.net. Click OK
and then OK again.

You should now see the updated Services window. Click OK.
Outlook may
ask you to restart the program in order for the new settings
to take effect.
Restart the program if it asks to do so
Outlook
2000
1. Open Outlook. Click on the Tools menu, and
select Accounts. From here, click the Add button,
then select "Mail" from the menu.

Under Display Name, enter the name you would like to
appear on your email
messages (usually this is your full name). Click Next.

Under Email Address, enter your full email address,
which is username@jobe.net. Press Next when finished.

Under Email Server Names, select My Incoming Mail
Server is a POP3 Server. Under Incoming Mail Server,
enter mail.jobe.net and for the Outgoing Mail Server,
enter mail.jobe.net as well. Press Next.

Under Internet Mail Login, enter your user name (this
will usually be filled in for you, but confirm that it is
correct) and your password. Check Remember Password
if you do not want to enter your password each time you check
your email. Finally, make sure that Log on using Secure
Password Authentication (SPA) is NOT checked. Press Next
when finished.
6.
Under Connection Method, select Establish an Internet
Connection Manually. Press Next. You're finished.
